Phynd Partners with North Texas Food Bank to Feed the Hungry

Rethink Hunger with the Phynd Team

Recently the Phynd Team in Dallas had an opportunity to take some time away from the office and give back to the local community. We had the privilege of partnering with the North Texas Food Bank to pack boxes with canned goods and other food provisions. The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a top-ranked nonprofit relief organization, providing access to more than 170,000 meals each day for hungry children, seniors and families through a network of more than 1,000 programs and 200 Partner Agencies in our 13-county service area. In fiscal year 2015, NTFB provided access to some 63 million meals.

During our time there at the warehouse, we were able to team up with a local High School group to pack approximately 700 boxes which will provide about 2,000 meals. Though our time and contribution was small, it reminded us of the great need in our communities that many times goes unnoticed. We were able to see how giving even a little of our time can help others who are in more need than ourselves.

As you all prepare to spend this Holiday season with friends and families, let’s think of how we can take even a few moments out of our busy schedules to help others. We at Phynd were encouraged to give back and reminded ‘that it is better to give than to receive’. May you have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!
