A Kearney, NE-based job-training program aimed at boosting Nebraska's information technology workforce is attracting attention from corporations across the state. The 12-week program, called TechHire Nebraska, pays participants a full-time stipend of $15 an hour while they learn and virtually guarantees them a job in IT upon completion.

According executives at TechHire, the time is ripe for rural-based communities to enter the technology services and software development sector in a meaningful way.

The training program begins with classroom lessons and transitions to mentoring by employees from partnering companies. Participants complete the program by taking an international software testing exam and are expected to have basic competency to follow one of four career paths: quality assurance, tech support, database administration and automation testing.

Phynd Technologies, Inc., headquartered in Kearney, NE, has pledged to help mentor future TechHire participants and provide them with jobs once they graduate.

Launched in 2013, Phynd offers a Unified Provider Management (UPM) Platform that enables healthcare organizations to unify, manage, customize, and securely share mission-critical provider information across their core IT systems to improve financial results, clinical outcomes, and compliance. The UPM is a comprehensive data management solution that gathers, validates, and integrates the latest provider information from multiple sources (external and internal) and provides workflow tools to manage and share that information within and across IT applications. Phynd’s UPM Platform is now used in more than 100 hospitals to manage a single, verified source of provider data, sharable throughout the enterprise.

Phynd Technologies is proud to support the TechHire program and expand the “Silicon Prairie” across the entire Midwest.
