HIMSS 2015 Update: Interoperability a big topic at this years HIMSS Conference and Exhibition

Interoperability seems to be this year’s theme so far at the 2015 HIMSS Conference and Exhibition in Chicago. As several of the industry’s professionals have organized and gathered under one roof, the push to have healthcare experts assist in the design and implementation of products that can behave nicely with one another is as loud as ever. This is especially true from the nation’s CIOs that want to see more systems and organizations talk to one another more efficiently as mentioned by TechTarget. Over 35,000 participants including providers, vendors, government agencies, and health care consulting firms are expected to attend this year’s HIMSS conference at the McCormick place convention center.

Some of the big topics besides interoperability are security, and more efficient systems include the refocusing of EHR to benefit the patient as it was always meant to be and the adoption of new technologies. As was stated by BusinessWire, proficiency and adoption of healthcare IT has dramatically increased among providers as can be deduced from studies and surveys by Accenture.

Located near the Epic booth, in the Interoperability Showcase, is Phynd Technologies in booth 2084. We would love to talk to you about managing your provider information into one, Single Provider Profile we keep up to date.
